Twenty-seven years ago, on July 10, 1997, PP councilman Miguel Angel Blanco was kidnapped by three members of ETA, who demanded in exchange the transfer of all the prisoners of the terrorist organization to the prisons of the Basque Country. Two days later, Blanco was executed and shot on a forest track near the town of Lasarte on the afternoon of July 12.
