Britain's increasing number of vegans are being offered a new option for Christmas dinner - the world's first vegan turkey.
The 'Vegan Whole Turkey' has a skin made of tofu and flesh made of 'textured soybean protein', 'soy protein isolate' and vegetable extracts. It also comes with vegan 'stuffing' and 'gravy'.
It has been developed to look amazingly like an actual roast turkey when cooked and its creators claim that the leftovers can even be used in sandwiches afterwards.
The Ј50 alternative Christmas feast weighs two kilograms and can serve up to 16 people. It has been developed by American firm Vege USA and will hit the UK market in time for the 2019 festive season.
