Yesterday, August 6, culminated the round of consultations prior to formalize the convening of a plenary session for the possible investiture of the first secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, as president of the Generalitat. On Saturday, August 3, Illa explained that he had informed the president of the Parliament, Josep Rull, that he had the necessary majority to be invested after the agreements that his party has reached with ERC and Comuns. In the Catalan elections, the PSC obtained 42 seats while the Republicans won 20 and the Comuns 6, which add up to exactly the 68 deputies that the socialist leader needs to be invested.
