Eine beschaedigte Goethe-Bueste steht in dem vom Feuer zerstoerten Rokoko-Saal der Anna Amalia Bibliothek am Mittwoch, 8. September 2004, in Weimar. Der Dachstuhl des mehr als 400 Jahre alten Bibliotheksgebaeudes mit Bestaenden der deutschen Literatur stand am Donnerstag Abend, 2. September 2004, in Flammen und wurde zerstoert. Ein Teil des Daches stuerzte in den weltberuehmten Rokokosaal, der stark beschaedigt wurde. Etwa 30.000 wertvolle historische Buecher wurden nach Angaben der Stadtverwaltung durch Feuer und Loeschwasser in Mitleidenschaft gezogen.
