A baseball signed by Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe and still bearing the screen siren's red lipstick is set to fetch more than 100,000 pounds at auction. The 1952 baseball is also signed by Marilyn's one time husband, Joe DiMaggio. World champion team the New York Yankees, who DiMaggio used to play for, also added their signatures to those of the former lovebirds. Kennedy.The watch sold for 120,000 USD at a live auction 17 October 2005, held by Connecticut-based Alexander Autographs, and is believed to have been given on the evening of the famous Madison Square Garden gala honoring Kennedy at which Monroe sang "Happy Birthday". The wristwatch, inscribed with the words "Jack, with love as always from Marilyn, May 29th 1962," corresponds with Kennedy's birthday. Monroe, who died of a drug overdose on 05 August, 1962 at the age of 36, was said to have had an affair with both Kennedy and his brother Bobby.
